I'M SHAYLA, A.K.A
MRS. PRINTS CHARMING!
you!
Before working in the wedding industry I worked in insurance (necessary industry but a BORING one!) and hotels, and I even worked as a Disney princess/character impersonator for events…so speaking (and even singing) in front of people is something I really enjoy! I love performing in musical theatre and I cosplay for fun. I’ve also traveled to more than 13 countries, every province in Canada, and at least 7 states in the USA. I celebrate diversity and prioritize inclusion - which is why I’m currently learning ASL and also teaching it to my children.
My family is my everything. I’m blessed to be a mom to two beautiful children, Aurora and Archer, and engaged to the love of my life, Jordan. I’ve been working in the wedding industry since 2020 as a wedding stationer, so I’m all about love and marriage - weddings are my jam!
Designing and creating beautiful wedding stationery began as something I did for friends and family while also working in a print shop. My passion for print and digital design really blossomed from there and once I became a mom, I decided to turn my passion into my fulltime gig! Taking all the small details that matter to you most, to create unique reflections of your love is my everyday passion. So I understand the importance of making your ceremony an intimate reflection of you and your one-of-a-kind love story.
As I said - weddings are my jam... so becoming a Licensed Wedding Officiant seemed like the natural next step in my journey through the wedding industry. I love being able to stand up there with the bride and groom and look out to all their guests and verbally paint a picture of what brought everyone together that day - love! My goal is to make every wedding ceremony an authentic, unique representation of the journey you've been on as a couple and the journey you now look to in front of you as a marriage.
Part of what I offer as a Wedding Officiant is running the show - I make sure everyone is where they're supposed to be, you have everything your supposed to have (don't forget those rings when you walk up!!) and that I deliver a heartful ceremony that will have your guests feeling like they know you better now then when they walked in the door.
hey
